DAY OF INFAMY · Both Houses of U.S. Legislature Vote to Remove Homosexual Conduct as a Grounds for Discharging Troops

Like Greece and like Rome.  Be afraid.

The Guardian’s Report
Vol 1, No. 8.  December 19, 2010

DAY OF INFAMY
·       Both Houses of U.S. Legislature Vote to Remove Homosexual Conduct as a Grounds for Discharging Troops
·       New Senate Bill to Repeal DADT Passes in the Waning Days of Lame-Duck Session

Event:   The United States Senate passed a bill repealing the military’s policy of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” concerning the sexual activity of its servicemembers.  An identical bill was passed earlier in the week by the House of Representatives, and now goes to the President for signature.
Status:   A repeal of the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” (DADT) military policy will prohibit the armed forces from discharging servicemembers on the grounds that they publicly identify as homosexuals.  The bill calls for a 60-day waiting period after the President, Secretary of Defense and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff have made an official statement that they believe the repeal will not adversely affect military preparedness.
Analysis:   In a December 2010 correspondence, we strongly urged U.S. Senators to reject the proposed repeal of DADT.  We argued that homosexual conduct is inherently destructive, and the military’s ethical code discouraging such conduct was reasonable and proper.
Entirely absent from the news reports of public statements made by Senators, the President and the advocates for the repeal were any explanation of how this radical shift from the status quo would not in fact impact the defining issues of “military readiness, military effectiveness, unit cohesion, and recruiting and retention of the Armed Forces.”
Instead, politicians and gay-rights spokespeople focused entirely on what they characterized as an injustice, that is, hurting the feelings of homosexual servicemembers by not allowing them to tell others about their love lives.  But a vast number of Americans frankly don’t want to hear about their neighbors’ love lives.
The key argument of the DADT repeal advocates has been to invoke “discrimination,” equating the moral objections against homosexual conduct with irrational bigotry, such as racism.  What is the difference between racism and bigotry, on the one hand, and what is called sexual morality, on the other?
Last century, black soldiers fought against being treated differently than their fellows and argued that they should not be singled out to serve in separate divisions.  But gay advocacy groups are doing just the opposite.   They insist on the right to express their uniqueness and difference from everyone else.  As a practical consequence, “openly gay” soldiers may require the military to sequester them into their own separate units.
Making distinctions based on people’s sexual appetites in no way resembles making distinctions based on race, ethnicity or religion.  The military’s ability to work effectively depends on its ability to work as a coordinated whole.  Individuals must mold together as a group.  Skin color, national origin, and religion do not put one solider at odds with working cooperatively with others as a team.
But one who publicly tells others that he desires sexual relations with other men undermines the shared group dynamics required by a military unit.
The most basic human experience testifies to the fact that sexual desire is inherently an exclusive, personalized, special intimate union.  Looking at another man as a potential sexual partner is antithetical to externally-directed bonds of brotherhood, selflessness and a focus on the greater good.  Sexuality aggrandizes our individuality; a military team requires us to surrender that individuality.
To bring an example from sports, a football team cannot be victorious if two of its players desire to play catch with each other instead of subordinating themselves to function only as members of the team.
The United States works hard to protect everyone from undue pain, shame and social stigma.  The protections of the current DADT policy reflect this noble mission.  By not sanctioning intrusive inspection into their personal lives, DADT strikes a fair and reasonable balance between allowing soldiers to feel comfortable with their own personal feelings, while still respecting the social, emotional and cooperative demands of a military unit that must work as a team.
Our nation’s protection does not rest on its military, but rather on the worthiness of our deeds, through which G-d Almighty judges us.  Governments topple, economies collapse and nations fall when their citizens allow themselves to stray from upholding the standards of a decent society.
Ingrained in human nature as a universal barometer of worth is the integrity of people’s intimate relationships.  Promiscuous  conduct, taking other men’s wives, incest, bestiality and homosexual behavior all destroy a person’s noble potential and corrupt society along with him.
Impact:  While President Barack Obama has been vocal in his support of the repeal, several procedural steps remain before the DADT policy is actually lifted.  The details of how the new military policy will take effect has yet to be made clear.
True to form, gay-friendly advocacy groups, politicians and newspaper columnists have hailed the vote as a historic bellwether and the dawn of a new era for homosexuals.  We question the degree of parallax between true mainstream attitudes and media and lobbyist propaganda, and remain skeptical about reading this vote as anything more than the last show of strength by a Democratic party headed into steep decline in power.
The votes of these 65 senators in the last days of this Congress, along with the votes of the outgoing House that is about to change over to Republican control, might not quite erase the will of millions of voters just over a month ago who swept conservative candidates to power.
The votes of 8 Republicans in the Senate and 15 Republicans in the House in favor of the DADT repeal should confirm that a conservative party affiliation alone is no longer an indicator of fidelity to traditional morality.  An opportunity for voices of middle to right leaning Democrats may emerge as early as next term.

iiiiIiiii Chanukah Quiz iiiiIiiii

iiiiIiiii Chanukah Quiz iiiiIiiii

Find the answers in the Torah below!

1. Match a. through g. with I-III below.:
1. BEREISHIT is a permutation of… [from Tikunei Zohar]
2. Who lights up the Holy Temple spiritually?
3. Who is the light and glory and beauty and charm of the whole world?
4. The more his name is magnified, the same goes for Hashem Yitbarakh.
5. Hashem Yitbarakh is always looking out to return to us and rebuild the Temple. We should not hold up its building, and should mourn its loss and rise at midnight to recite…
6. Whoever attaches himself to him gets his eyes opened (because he is the like the River that is the source of the four heads (Gen. 2) i.e. four elements; see the full LM 67 and the allusion to Na Nach Nachma Nachman) and sees his traits and can draw closer to Hashem Yitbarakh.
7. Rising for Tikun Chatzot saves us from…

I. The True Tzadik
II. Rosh Bayit (Head of House)
III. Fires

Kitzur Likutei Moharan #67
[Why does the Torah begin “Bereishit” and end “in the sight of all Israel.”?] 1. The true Tzaddik is the glory and the beauty and the charm of the whole entire world, and he is the master of the house of the whole entire world. And he is the aspect of the master of the house of the Holy Temple. For he lights up the Holy Temple and the whole entire world. For he is the light and the glory and the beauty and the charm of the whole world. And when this Tzaddik is publicized and his name is magnified in the world, through this the name of the Lord, blessed-be-He, is magnified. And the more his name is magnified and glorified, the more the name of the Lord, blessed-be-He, is magnified and glorified. And whoever is included in the name of truth, which is the glory and the charm and the truth of the whole world, as mentioned, i.e. whoever draws close to him and is included in his name — through this his eyes are opened and he begins to look at himself, at all the traits, how he is holding with them, and to return in teshuvah on all the bad traits that he blemished, and merits to look at the greatness of the blessed Creator and to look into repair of the world, and merits that holy and pure brains are drawn onto him from this holy name of the true Tzaddik.

2. And on the other hand, Heaven forbid, when the name of the true Tzaddik is hidden and goes away from the world, and big phony rabbis (mefursamei shel sheker) are magnified, who do not have the name of the Lord in them at all. Through this, as it were, the name of the Lord is reduced and hidden. And then enchanters and sorcerers are magnified, and there come upon the world things that cannot be helped except by names of impurity, Heaven forbid. And through this fires come to the world, Heaven spare us. And the light of the eyes mentioned above goes away. And this is the aspect of the burning of the Holy Temple, which was also due to removal of the light luminaries (meorei or), which allowed fire luminaries (meorei esh — see LM 67) to overcome. So when the true Tzaddik goes away from the world it is like the burning of the Holy Temple, and then the children of Israel are considered as if they are rolling around outside, Heaven forbid. [This is the explanation of Bereshit – which is a permutation of Rosh Bayit [Tik. Zohar] — head of the house — like Yosef Hatzaddik, as it is written, “Now Joseph was the ruler over the land; it was he who sold grain” etc. For by sustaining the Temple and the houses and generations of Israel, through this the name of the Tzaddik is magnified, who is the head of house, and through this the eyes of Israel are opened, and this is the explanation of “Bereishit…in the sight of all Israel”]

3. At these times, when the exile has already been so long, and the Lord, Blessed-be-He, looks out at all times to return to us and come back and rebuild our Holy Temple, it is fitting for us to not hold up, Heaven forbid, the building of the Holy Temple; we should only make effort for its building. Therefore we very very much need to rise for Tikkun Chatzot every night, and very much mourn the destruction of the Holy Temple. For perhaps in an earlier incarnation he was the one who caused the Holy Temple to be destroyed; but even if not, perhaps now he is holding back construction of the Holy Temple by his sins, and is considered also as if he caused its destruction. And on this he should cry and mourn very much every night at midnight, and through this it will be considered as if he made effort for the Holy Temple’s reconstruction, and through this he should merit to draw close to the truth, i.e. draw close to true Tzaddikim who are God-fearing and kosher, who are the main glory and charm and beauty, the truth of the world*, and through this his eyes will be opened and the will look at himself in all the traits and return in teshuvah on all the bad traits, and merit to know and recognize the great name of the Blessed One.

4. By rising at midnight and mourning the destruction of the Holy Temple, one is saved from fires.

*[It appears this is the hinted in the juxtaposition of the verses “At midnight I will rise to give thanks unto You because of your righteous judgments. I am a companion of all they that fear You…” (Ps. 119:62-63)]

R. Ulla Says What Are the Big Three Commandments

Ulla in the Talmud (Chullin 92a-b) says there are three commandments the gentiles keep, in the merit of which they continue to exist.  They are 1) they do not write a marriage contract for males, 2) they do not sell human flesh in the meat market, and 3) they respect the Torah.

It appears to me that these are representative of the three mitzvot ("The Big Three") that a person is obligated to sacrifice his life over, rather than transgress: 1) Sexual Perversions, 2) Murder, and 3) Idolatry.

Who was Ulla?  I found the bio below very interesting -- in particular, the part about "Only in the presence of Rav Nachman did Ulla hesitate to pronounce his opinions, generally waiting until the former had departed (Giṭ. 11b, 12a); although he frequently sought Naḥman's company (Ket. 53a)."

Na Nach.
Nissim

Ulla or 'Ulla was a Jewish Talmudist and one of the leading Halakhic amoraim in the Land of Israel during the latter part of the third and in the beginning of the fourth centuries CE.

In his youth he studied under R. Eleazar II. (Tos. to Ḥul. 34a, s.v. "Man Ḥabraya"); and he transmitted nine of his teacher's halakhic sayings, seven of which are contained in Bava Kamma 11, one in Eruvin 21b, and one in Ketubot (tractate) 74a. He was greatly respected for his learning; and during his visits to Babylonia he seems to have been invited frequently by the Resh Galuta to deliver halakic lectures (Ket. 65b; Ḳid. 31a; Shabbat (tractate) 157b). He traveled repeatedly to the Talmudic Academies in Babylonia; and on one of his journeys he was in danger of assassination by one of his companions, saving his life only by condoning the murder of another (Nedarim 22a). Ulla rendered important decisions regarding the benedictions and the calculation of the new moon, and was accustomed to promulgate his rulings in Babylonia when he went thither (Ber. 38b; R. H. 22b; Pes. 53b, 104b).

He was very strict in his interpretation of religious laws (Shab. 147a, 157b); and on one occasion, when he heard R. Huna use an expression which he did not approve, he retorted, "As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, so are the words of R. Huna," applying to him the first half of Prov. x. 26 (Ḳid. 45b). Only in the presence of Rav Nachman did Ulla hesitate to pronounce his opinions, generally waiting until the former had departed (Giṭ. 11b, 12a); although he frequently sought Naḥman's company (Ket. 53a).

Of his contemporaries with whom he engaged in controversies may be mentioned, besides R. Naḥman, R. Abba (B. M. 11a), Abimi bar Papa, Ḥiyya bar Ammi (Ket. 53a), and R. Judah (Ḥul. 68b, 70a); but his personal friend, with whom he associated most frequently, was Rabbah bar Ḥana (Tosef., Ḥul. xxxiv. 1).

In addition to the sayings of his teacher Eleazar, Ulla transmitted those of R. Hoshaiah (Ḥul. 76a), Joshua ben Levi (ib. 122a), R. Johanan ('Er. 67b), Rab (Shab. 143b), and Simeon ben Laḳish (Ḥag. 8b), while his own sayings were transmitted by R. Aḥa bar Adda (B. M. 117b), Hamnuna (Shab. 10b), Ḥiyya bar Abba (Ḥag. 25b), Ḥiyya bar Ami (Ber. 8a), Raba bar Ḥinena (Men. 30b), R. Ḥisda (Ber. 38b), Judah bar Ammi (M. Ḳ. 5b), and Joshua bar Abba (ib. 5b).

Raba appears to have been his only son (Shab. 83b). Ulla died in Babylonia, before his teacher R. Eleazar; but his remains were taken to Palestine for burial (Ket. 111a).

2010 General Elections -- Albany County Voter's Guide

This is the personal voting guide of one Nanach.  Other Nanachs may differ.

For the Gov./Lt. Gov leave it blank.  Paladino apologized for his (rightfully) criticizing same-sex unions.

The Talmud (Chullin 92) states that the gentile nations merit to exist because of three commandments they keep -- the first one is "THEY DO NOT WRITE A MARRIAGE CONTRACT FOR MALES!"

For the other offices vote the Republican candidate.

`Amud ha Tzaddik/The Pillar of the Tzaddik

`Amud ha Tzaddik/The Pillar of the Tzaddik

from The Seven Pillars by Yitzchak Breiter.

1. The soul of *Mashiach* preceded the world*(1)*, and he is the root of the souls of Israel, and the entire Creation was only created to serve his ends, and "the Tzaddik is the Foundation of the World"(Proverbs10:25).

2. With him, Hashem consulted as He created the world, as it is written: "With whom should I consult and give understanding, and teach the ways of justice?"(Isaiah 40:14)

3. He swore to Hashem that he would fix the world.*(2)*

4. All that transpires in the world - all the incarnations, clarifications, tests, and revelations of faith are through him, as it is written: "He is faithful in My house."(Numbers 12:7) *(3)*

5. Hashem gave him full dominion and kingship, as it is said,” The Tzaddik rules with the fear of G-d."(Samuel II 23:3)

6. He is the Heavenly Court.

7. He is the revelation of the Hand of Hashem - that is to say, he reveals Divine Providence, both on the spiritual and material planes.

8. He is the revelation of prayer, as it is written,” I am prayer."(Psalms 109:4)

9. He is the chariot for the Shekhina.

10. He is Holiness.

11. He is the life of the entire world.

12. All service of Hashem rises upward through him.

13. All thoughts of repentance come from him.*(4)*

14. Through a person's drawing close to the True Tzaddik - that is, through understanding the above concepts, and through following his holy advice - the person draws upon himself sparks from the light of the Tzaddik - each according to his level. Even if the person is very far from holiness, nevertheless, by drawing close to the True Tzaddik, he at least will come to see and know how far he is from truth and-*righteousness, and from the proper ways of justice, and how he is in fact immersed in the opposite, in order that he should long for truth, and pray about it, without any despair or sadness. For if he will know that Hashem also calls to him – for he is precious in Hashem's eyes - and so on higher and higher, each one according to his unique quality. And according to his closeness to the True Tzaddik, he merits to draw upon himself the holiness of the Tzaddik, to walk in his ways, and to know that everything is in the hands of Hashem. And to pray for this always, Amen.

15. Fragments of the soul of the Tzaddik are within all creatures, and especially in the People of Hashem, and to a greater degree, in all the True Tzaddikim.

16. The Way of Truth was renewed in the world five times, and they are as follows:

  • 1. Moshe Rabbeinu
  • 2. Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai
  • 3. Rabbi Yitzchak Luria, the Ari
  • 4. Rabbi Yisrael Ba'al Shem Tov
  • 5. The "Flowing Stream, Source of Wisdom", Rabbi Nachman. And from him until *Mashiach*, there will be no other renewals.

17. In every place in Likutey Moharan that the Tzaddik is mentioned, it all refers to these five.

18. There was an especially powerful revelation of the prayer of the soul of *Mashiach* in King David.

19. It is not for a person to attempt to become the Tzaddik, and he must not suppose that any one who wants to seize this crown may do so. For this is the matter of Leaders of Falsehood, as discussed in Likutey Moharan. Rather, everyone needs to accept from this Tzaddik who has revealed himself in every few generations, which is the matter of the sparks of *Mashiach*, and the preparation for the Redemption. Everyone needs to be acquainted with this Tzaddik. For if one does not know him in this incarnation, he will have to return in another, until he does know him. Because of this, we have waited so long for the Redemption, and it was in relation to this that the Rabbis said "Find yourself a Rabbi, and acquire a friend." (Avot 1:6) That together, they will accept from this Rabbi. Also, the saying "All who say a word of Torah in the name of the Rabbi who said it, brings Redemption to the world" - that is to say, that he should come to know from whom is drawn all the words, and through this, he hastens the Redemption, of the world, and of his own soul.

20. A novelty such as the "Flowing River, Source of Wisdom" was never before in the world. For he *prepared* vessels for our Righteous *Mashiach*, and the *Mashiach* will battle with them against the forces of evil, to repair the world.

  • (1)* Pesachim 54a *(2)* Tikuney Zohar 69, 111b; Zohar III:216a *(3)* Tikuney Zohar 69, 112a *(4)* Chayei Moharan 279

The Encounter Saba Yisrael Had With Rabbi Moshe Feinstein

BS"D

Due to demand I am writing the encounter Saba Yisrael had with Rabbi Moshe Feinstein A”h, as I heard it personally a few times from Saba.

It was in April 1984 (Iyar (שדמת, approximately a few years before Rabbi Feinstein's decease. Due to Rabbi Feinstein’s health, Doctors gave strict orders for him to rest and forbade him to have any audience. But upon hearing of Saba Yisrael, who just arrived from Israel, possessing with him a letter from heaven, Rabbi Feinstein ordered his son, Rabbi Dovid saying; “I want to see Saba Yisrael together with the original letter.”

Saba Yisrael in a wheelchair, was approximately ninety five years old, arrived that evening the 7th of April. Rabbi Feinstein took the letter from heaven and read it. But when he started reading the letter again, his son Rabbi Dovid remarked; “Daddy didn’t you read it already? “ Rabbi Feinstein answered; “this letter has magnetism.”

Saba Yisrael had brought a present to give Rabbi Feinstein, a big likutei Moharan (original Torah discourses by Rebbe Nachman hakadosh). Upon hearing Rabbi Feinstein’s statement that the letter has magnetism, Saba randomly opened the sefer to Torah 70 in Likutei Moharan, which speaks about magnetism (look in the book Ebay Hanachal letter two) and handed the sefer to Rabbi Feinstein. Rabbi Feinstein reads the discourse and was very amazed, how Saba Yisrael randomly showed him exactly the topic of discussion. In humbleness, Saba told me, although I only opened a page randomly which spoke about magnetism, Rabbi Feinstein wrote in a letter of approbation, that Saba is a Gaon in Torah. Sabs was implying Rabbi Feinstein probably said this about everyone (the truth is Saba was a great sage, you can see this from the letters he wrote to President Zalman Shazar, originally printed by the President himself. The book in Hebrew, is called Ebay Hanachal, or in English; Blossoms of the spring.

The first time I saw Saba, I said this is a person from times of our ancestors Abraham, Yitzchak and Yaakov. I knew he was a hidden Tzaddik, serving God in simplicity with no ego whatsoever.

Rabbi Feinstein asked Saba Yisrael for a blessing, Saba said; “by Breslovers there aren’t any Admorim (those that act as the leaders and rulers of Israel, there is only one Rebbe, acronym Rosh Bnei Yisrael. The only one that can consider himself as the head of Israel is the one that can atone the world completely, and the Tikkunei Zohar says this is the one who will reveal the Song Pashut, Kaful Meshulash, Meruba; the quadruple song in ascending letters, can redeem the Torah, Teffila and the congregants of Israel.)

Rabbi Feinstein took Saba Israel’s hand and placed it on his head and took his own hand and placed it on Saba’s head and said to Saba; “repeat after me, ( the blessing of the priests to the Jewish people, found in Numbers[6, 24], transliterated, Yevorechecha Hashem Veyimsherecho, Yaer Hashem Ponov Elecha Vichunecha, Yisa Hashem Ponov Elecha Veyasem Lecha Shalom! (Rabbi Feinstein lived a year and a half more from Saba’s blessing, doctors were amazed at the miraculous recovery.)

Than Rabbi Feinstein told Saba about two of his best teachers in his elementary school who became Breslovers. Rabbi Feinstein, at first wanted to fire them, but he reconsidered and decided in convincing them to follow the way of their ancestors and persuade them from teaching new ways. Rabbi Feinstein said to Saba, I confronted the teachers and at the end of the meeting they convinced me. Rabbi Feinstein said to Saba I kept them as teachers, but after a year the teachers decided to leave on their own accord. (Rebbe Nachman brings down in his book of Conversations one should not be a teacher as a source of livelihood.)

Rabbi Feinstein wrote a letter of recommendation in Hebrew and English asking the Jewish people to greet Saba Yisrael warmly and to donate for Saba’s cause to print Rabbi Nachman’s books. The lady secretaries who prepared the letters of approbation at the Yeshiva office, also asked Saba Yisrael for a blessing, which he gave.

Rabbi Feinstein asked Saba if there is anything else he can do for him. Saba asked Rabbi Feinstein, if he can make a meeting with him and the President of the United States (At the Time Mr. Ronald Reagan). Rabbi Feinstein used his connections and set up an appointment for Saba. Saba waited in America for six months to get audience. The American Government asked the caretakers of Saba Yisrael in a letter, what does Saba Yisrael want? The caretakers wrote a letter asking the American government to donate two billion dollars to print Rebbe Nachman books. The secretary of the President wrote back that they would have donated one or two million dollars, but two billion was absurd. When Saba Heard this he was very upset, and said if you would have asked wisely, the donation of the American government would’ve rectified the robbery Elifaz (Esau’s grandson) stole from Yaakov.

Saba returned to Israel with no money solicited, but pondered why he needed to leave Israel and be in America. Soon after, Saba understood why he went to America. The story is as follows; “Chasidic Na Nach put a loudspeaker on a car and went around announcing and singing Na Nach in Bnei Brak, Israel. Rabbi Shach heard all this tumult and without interrogating Saba like Rabbi Feinstein, accepted rumors that the Letter was not from heaven. He decided to call for the following day; a hundred Rabbis to denounce the letter, thereby, protecting the religious communities from cronies. The night before the meeting Chabad raided rabbi Shach’s property and put swatstikaa. The meeting for a hundred rabbi’s was canceled for the following day.

Surprisingly, a Rabbi that knew Saba, who was not able to come the previous day, came at the meeting the following day. When he heard Rabbi Shach’s will to denounce the Letter from Heaven, this Rabbi stood up and said; “Harav Shach, one cannot denounce this Letter!” Rabbi Shach asked why? Simply because Rabbi Feinstein accepted the letter as authentic and this is cited together in the letter of approbation that Rabbi Feinstein gave to Saba Yisrael at the time (at the time of this meeting Rabbi Feinstein was not alive). Harav Shach said people forge Rabbi Feinstein’s name and try to solicit monies. The Rabbi that reprimanded Rav Shach said; “I know for a fact that this letter is authentic and if you do not believe me call Rabbi Moshe Feinstein’s son Rav Dovid who can testify to the authenticity.” Harav Shach calls the Yeshiva in America speaks to the secretaries, and asks them if they know about a letter of approbation to Saba Yisrael? They answer yes it’s authentic, but with stubbornness asks the secretaries to urgently locate Rav Dovid. Rav Dovid is located and answers to Harav Shach’s amazement; “Emes Veyatsiv Vekayam, it is true and firm and established...” Saba Yisrael told me personally, that the secretaries in the Yeshiva office by Rabbi Dovid Feinstein were appalled, commenting; “how could anyone have the audacity to say on Saba Yisrael that Saba forged Rabbi Feinstein’s name on a letter of approbation.” How dare he call Saba Yisrael, with arrogance a liar? As if to say, Rav Shach considers himself a leader of Israel but cannot discern where the truth is. These secretaries were able to see the injustice and were pained that their leader Rabbi Moshe Feinstein was not around anymore.

So Saba would tell us the whole reason he went to America was for a letter. If it was not for this letter from Rabbi Feinstein, the land of Israel the redemption and the Israelites would have been in grave danger.

About Me

I was brought up in Litvish yeshivas and had made aliyah to Israel. In Israel I heard about Saba Yisroel and the letter from heaven. I made a point to see Saba and the rest is history. I became one of Saba's attendants and to my surprize Saba rented a place next to my home and for six months straight I was the only attendant. Today I understood Saba's compassion to bring me close to Rebbe NAchman derech. He paid $800 a month for rent in order I should one day understand who Rebbe Nachman is and to religiously follow Rebbe Nachman's path.
